I recently installed DragonFlyBSD in qemu, and so far, it’s really nice to use.
Net-access is a bit difficult in qemu, so I just grab FreeBSD packages
via scp
from my box. Oh well.
qemu got really improved from 0.5.5 to 0.6.0, it now boots DragonFlyBSD and Plan9 out of the box. (Both of them didn’t work for me in older versions, YMMV). By the way, if you want to compile qemu, be sure to use GCC 3.3, all others will fail miserably at one or another file. :
