Concurrent Pattern Calculus, by Thomas Given-Wilson, Daniele Gorla, and Barry Jay. “This work extends the pattern calculus to the concurrent setting by adding constructs for parallel composition, name restriction and replication, and argues convincingly for its greater expressiveness as compared to other concurrent calculi.”
The “extensible MIPS” is a dynamically extensible processor for general-purpose, multi-user systems. The reconfigurable logic (Extensions) dynamically load/unload application-specific circuits. eMIPS runs NetBSD on the Xilinx ML401/2 (Virtex V4) XUP (V5), and on the BEE3(4xV5).
Openwall GNU/*/Linux is a small security-enhanced Linux distribution for servers, appliances, and virtual appliances. This could be the OpenBSD-style Linux distribution I’ve been looking for. (Some stuff is really old, though.)
